In October 2007, Dianne Neumark-Sztainter, PhD., MPH presented the PCN Forum "Eating in a Weight-Obsessed World: Helping your Child Have a Healthy Body Image and a Healthy Weight.
PCN's most valuable resource is our volunteers. Our educational forums
would not be possible without the work of many people. It takes approximately
thirty people to research, coordinate, promote and host our parent education
forums.
Volunteering with PCN is also a great
way to meet other parents in the community.
Volunteer to do part of a job, or a whole job. Co-chair a committee with
a friend, or sign up to be your school's liaison. Each position is vital
to PCN's operation.
Our main volunteer recruitment is done in the spring,
but we are always interested in hearing from parents that are interested in PCN.
Contact us if you are interested in becoming involved in PCN.
