Dr. Peter Benson is the president and CEO of the Search Institute. Dr. Benson researched and identified forty developmental assets that youth need to succeed.

Dr. Benson's most recent work relates to "sparks."

Definition of spark Help your child identify, cultivate and nourish their spark. Kids become energized and thrive when their sparks are identified and encouraged.

Based in Edina, Minnesota, Edina Parent Communication Network (PCN) offers free forums (with the exception of the National Speaker Event) for families and educators of children K-12. PCN was created in 1998 with a goal to support parents and educators to build stronger families and a stronger community.

Since its inception, over 12,000 parents and educators have attended PCN's forums.
